PROFESSOR EMERITA TERRY PROVIDES COMMENTS TO ABA ON PROPOSED AML RULE February 2022 — Professor Laurel S. Terry, who is the H. Laddie Montague Jr. Chair in Law and Professor of Law Emerita, recently provided oral and written comments to the American Bar Association regarding a proposed new ethics rule. Farage Professor of Law at Penn State Dickinson Law, will participate in a panel discussion on “Transforming Conflict: Rethinking War, Peace, and Justice” as part of the J. PROFESSOR WILLIAMS PUBLISHES ARTICLE EXAMINING THE REGULATION OF PUBLIC COMPANY AUDIT FIRMS February 2022 — Professor Sarah Williams recently authored the first in a series of planned articles exploring the successful formula for effective auditor oversight. Her article, titled “The Alchemy of Effective Auditor Oversight,” evaluates the verification process through which accounting firms are approved to audit public companies. Full story |

DICKINSON LAW SCHOLARS PRESENT AT 2022 AALS ANNUAL MEETING January 2022 — The Association of American Law Schools (AALS) held their 2022 Annual Meeting on Freedom, Equality, and the Common Good from January 5-9. This virtual event provided participants with an opportunity to discuss how our legal system should deal with the realities of a post-pandemic world and explored how crafting a common understanding of what freedom means in a democratic society can be very complicated, particularly in the face of a crisis.
