Penn State Dickinson Law’s research centers and institutes engage faculty, students, and practitioners in the study of law and policy, and support concentrated research, study, and practice into the overall academic experience, allowing students to gain advanced knowledge in specific areas of the law.

Antiracist Development Institute

The Antiracist Development Institute (ADI) works to dismantle systems that scaffold systemic racial inequality using a systems design approach for the purpose of achieving systemic equity in the legal profession, legal academy, and beyond.

Center for Agricultural and Shale Law

The Center for Agricultural and Shale Law conducts research and outreach activities with a specific focus on those issues of importance in Pennsylvania. Through its programs, the Center serves a wide variety of stakeholders including agricultural producers, judges, attorneys, government officials, and more.

Center for Government Law and Public Policy Studies

Based out of our Carlisle location, the Center leverages its proximity to the state capital and nation's capital to provide students with a wide range of experiential learning opportunities in government agencies and nonprofit public policy organizations at the state, local, national, and international levels.

Center for Public Interest Law and Advocacy

The Center for Public Interest Law and Advocacy is the hub of public interest law at Penn State Dickinson Law. Supporting concentrated research and scholarship in public interest law and advocacy, the Center creates practice experiences for students through pro bono service, and provides ongoing support for public interest practitioners through training and resources.

Center for the Study of Mergers and Acquisitions

The Center for the Study of Mergers and Acquisitions examines corporate, securities, tax, antitrust, and other legal and economic issues that arise in mergers and acquisitions. An important part of the Center's mission is to periodically sponsor continuing legal education programs addressing these issues.
