PROFESSOR SAMANTHA PRINCE, LAW PROFESSORS AND LAW STUDENTS FILE PUBLIC COMMENTS WITH THE FEDERAL TRADE COMMISSION April 2023 — Professor Samantha Prince was joined by law professors and law students from across the nation in a public comment responding to the Federal Trade Commission’s (FTC’s) proposal to ban most non-compete clauses as an unfair method of competition. PROFESSOR MEDHA MAKHLOUF CO-HOSTS “HEALTH EQUITY IMMERSION” WITH PENN STATE COLLEGE OF MEDICINE April 2023 — On the morning of Saturday, April 15, 2023, an interdisciplinary group of Penn State students, faculty, and medical residents met at The Boys & Girls Club of Harrisburg to engage in a day of experiential learning focused on the theme “Making the Invisible Visible.” This second iteration of the Health Equity Immersion, first piloted in October 2022, was a component of the curriculum for students enrolled in Penn State Dickinson Law’s Medical-Legal Partnership Clinic. GROOME GIVES SPEECH TO BALTIMORE COUNCIL ON FOREIGN AFFAIRS April 2023 — Professor Dermot Groome was recently invited to address the Baltimore Council on Foreign Affairs. His speech, “Closing the Impunity Gap for War Crimes in Ukraine” considered how the international legal principle of universal jurisdiction might be used to facilitate greater accountability for international crimes committed in Ukraine.
