January 2023 — At the 2023 AALS Annual Meeting Jeffrey A. Dodge, Associate Dean for Academic and Student Services, Assistant Professor of Law and Joseph H. Goldstein Faculty Scholar, was elected to serve as the chair of the Student Services Section. Over the past few years Dean Dodge served as vice chair and chair-elect of the section. Full story

Logo DICKINSON LAW SCHOLARS PRESENT AT 2022 AALS ANNUAL MEETING

January 2022 — The Association of American Law Schools (AALS) held their 2022 Annual Meeting on Freedom, Equality, and the Common Good from January 5-9. This virtual event provided participants with an opportunity to discuss how our legal system should deal with the realities of a post-pandemic world and explored how crafting a common understanding of what freedom means in a democratic society can be very complicated, particularly in the face of a crisis. Jeffrey Dodge DEAN DODGE SELECTED TO JOIN INTERNATIONAL ACADEMY FOR THE STUDY OF THE JURISPRUDENCE OF THE FAMILY

October 2021 — Jeffrey A. Dodge, Associate Dean for Academic & Student Services, Assistant Professor, and Joseph H. Goldstein Faculty Scholar, was recently selected for membership in the International Academy for the Study of the Jurisprudence of the Family (IASJF). IASJF membership requires an application sponsored by a current member and the approval of two-thirds of the members. The composition of IASJF represents the broad diversity of global scholars focused on the jurisprudence of the family. Full story

Dean Dodge DEAN DODGE PRESENTS AT ANNUAL SEALS CONFERENCE

 August 2021 — Jeffrey A. Dodge, Associate Dean for Academic & Student Services, Assistant Professor, and Joseph H. Goldstein Faculty Scholar, presented at the Southeastern Association of Law Schools Annual Conference.  His presentation, titled The Unfilled Promise of Obergefell for Children of Same-Sex Parents: Advancing Federal Nondiscrimination Laws for Familial Association, proposes amendments to the Equality Act to protect children in LGBTQIA+ headed households. July 2021 — Jeffrey A. Dodge, Associate Dean for Academic & Student Services, Assistant Professor, and Joseph H. Goldstein Faculty Scholar, was recently appointed to serve as chair-elect of Association of American Law Schools Student Services Section.  Dean Dodge was serving as vice chair of the Section and was selected by the executive committee to serve in the new role for the remainder of 2021.
