PROFESSOR JOHNSTON-WALSH PRESENTS ON “CURRENT ISSUES FOR CHILD ADVOCATES” April 2021 — On Friday April 9, 2021, Clinical Professor of Law Lucy Johnston-Walsh participated in a panel discussion on “Best Practices for Remote Operations: Engagement, Confidentiality and Technology” during the “Current issues for Child Advocates 2021” program sponsored by the Pennsylvania Bar Association Children’s Rights Committee. Panel members included the Honorable Eleanor Bush, Marisa McClellan, (Administrator for Dauphin County Social Services for Children & Youth) and Professor Lucy Johnston-Walsh; the session was moderated by Jennifer Pokempner of the Juvenile Law Center. PROFESSOR BUTLER INAUGURATES WARSAW UNIVERSITY SCHOOL OF EAST EUROPEAN AND CENTRAL ASIAN LAW April 2021 — Professor William E. NEW EDITION OF RUSSIAN CIVIL CODE PUBLISHED BY PROFESSOR BUTLER April 2021 — Now so substantial that two volumes (1200+ pages) are required for the English-language version of the Civil Code of the Russian Federation, Professor William E. Butler updated his earlier text of five years ago to accommodate literally thousands of changes introduced in the interim period up to 1 February 2021. Full story |

PROFESSOR WILLIAMS’ WORK IN THE AREA OF AUDITOR REGULATION TO BE PUBLISHED BY LEWIS & CLARK LAW REVIEW April 2021 — Professor Sarah Williams has accepted an offer from Lewis & Clark Law Review to publish her recent article, entitled “The Alchemy of Effective Auditor Regulation.” The article is currently scheduled to be published in February 2022. Butler, co-founder and co-editor of The Journal of Comparative Law, now in its sixteenth year and among the leading peer-reviewed law reviews in its field, has edited in collaboration with Dr. O. V. Kresin of the Koretsky Institute of State and Law, National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, volume XVI, no. 1 (2021) devoted to “Discovering the Unexpected: Comparative Legal Studies in Eastern and Central Europe”. PROF. BLASIE PRESENTS AT TASHKENT STATE UNIVERSITY OF LAW IN UZBEKISTAN April 2021 — Professor Michael Blasie presented a guest lecture at Tashkent State University of Law in Uzbekistan. PROFESSOR COLE JOINS THE ACADEMIC ADVISORY COUNCIL OF THE AMERICAN MUSEUM OF TORT LAW March 2021 — Professor Lance Cole has joined the Academic Advisory Council of The American Museum of Tort Law.
