July 2021 — Professor Amy C. Gaudion presented her work-in-progress “Shifting the Oversight Lens to Reform the U.S. Government’s Vulnerabilities Equities Process” at the 2021 Annual Conference of the Southeastern Association of Law Schools. Artificial Intelligence PROFESSOR GERKE CO-AUTHORS AN ESSAY IN STAT NEWS

July 2021 — Professor Sara Gerke is co-author of a “First Opinion” essay entitled Explaining Medical AI Is Easier Said Than Done in STAT News, which is an award-winning source of news about health, medicine, and scientific discovery. Professor Gerke’s essay, which was written with Boris Babic with help from Glenn Cohen and Theodoros Evgeniou, builds on their article that recently was published in Science. Full story

July 2021 — Professor Sara Gerke co-authors a new piece in the Harvard Business Review on artificial intelligence (AI) and the need for a new approach to legal liability. Her co-authors include scholars from Harvard Law School and the University of Pennsylvania. Full story

July 2021 — Professor Gary S. Gildin recently spoke at the Training Conference on Rhetoric, Persuasion, and Implicit Bias hosted by Temple University’s Beasley School of Law. Professor Gildin addressed the imperative of teaching law students a model of persuasion that incorporates recent developments in neuroscience and cognitive psychology. Full story

July 2021 — Professor Tonya M. Evans testified in a virtual hearing on July 19 in the House Democratic Caucus Room, 4th Floor Main Capitol Building, Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. The power and promise of cryptocurrencies, blockchain technology, and economic empowerment were explored in an effort to help legislators prepare Pennsylvanians for a digital future. Full story
