January 2022 — The Association of American Law Schools (AALS) held their 2022 Annual Meeting on Freedom, Equality, and the Common Good from January 5-9. This virtual event provided participants with an opportunity to discuss how our legal system should deal with the realities of a post-pandemic world and explored how crafting a common understanding of what freedom means in a democratic society can be very complicated, particularly in the face of a crisis. January 2021 — On Friday, January 21, Penn State Dickinson Law and Willamette University College of Law will be co-hosting a virtual presentation titled “Legal Education in a Post-COVID World.” The event will run from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. ET and is free to all students, staff, and faculty. Full story

December 15, 2021 — Steven M. Coren, a 1980 graduate of Penn State Dickinson Law, had not visited campus in more than three decades when he attended a 2016 Dickinson Law alumni event in Philadelphia where then-Dean Gary Gildin spoke. “Dean Gildin mesmerized attendees with Dickinson Law’s accomplishments and plans,” said Coren. December 9, 2021 — Penn State Dickinson Law received an A- for Best Value Law School in the fall 2021 issue of preLaw magazine—a ranking that recognizes law schools where graduates have excellent chances of passing the bar and getting a legal job without taking on a ton of debt. Read more

December 8, 2021 — AccessLex Institute is pleased to announce that Danielle M. Conway, Dean and Donald J. Farage Professor of Law at Penn State Dickinson Law, and David A. Brennan, Immediate Past Dean and Frost, Brown and Todd Professor of Law at the University of Kentucky’s J. David Rosenberg College of Law, have been re-elected to the Company’s Board of Directors. November 24, 2021 — Penn State Dickinson Law will further recent faculty action to lead Antiracism efforts by creating an Antiracist Development Institute (ADI), a program offering organizations across the country systems design-based approaches to implementing antiracist practices, processes and policies throughout each of their functions.
