“What I’ve learned is that conflict resolution is a collective engagement, where we can think about challenges from a point of view of another — to begin to address how we relate to one another in a way that respects people’s lived experiences.”

In a video series titled “Perspective: Leaders at Penn State,” Danielle M. Conway, Dean and Donald J. Farage Professor of Law at Penn State Dickinson Law, talks about her love for collecting artwork and the opportunity that art offers to reflect on other people’s experiences and identities.

This is the fifth feature in the video series which offers a glimpse of the personal passions that have driven our leaders and have shaped their perspectives and impact at Penn State and beyond.

“If we look at the law as a tool to accomplish humanism, we have a great chance to become the society that we aspire to be.”

Watch and learn how Conway works with faculty colleagues at Penn State Dickinson Law to impress upon students what their responsibility is to the communities around them.

The entire series can be found in Penn State News or on Penn State’s YouTube channel where a new feature will be shared each month.
