ALISON LINTAL PRESENTS ON THE IMPORTANCE OF WELL-BEING IN THE LEGAL PROFESSION September 2019 — Alison F. Lintal, who is Director of Career Services and Internship Programs at Penn State Dickinson Law, recently had the honor d to present on wellness as part of the annual judicial retreat for the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania. PROFESSOR EMILY MICHIKO MORRIS SPEAKS AT 2019 EUROPEAN IP CONFERENCE IN SWITZERLAND September 2019 — Professor Emily Michiko Morris, who is Visiting Associate Professor of Law and Director of Non-J.D. Programs at Penn State Dickinson Law, recently had an opportunity to present her scholarship on unregistered patent rights at the 2019 Annual Conference of the European Policy for Intellectual Property, in Zurich, Switzerland. PROFESSOR MAKHLOUF’S ARTICLE ON DNA SURVEILLANCE OF IMMIGRANTS FEATURED IN HEALTHLAWPROF BLOG September 2020 — Professor Makhlouf’s article, The Ethics of DNA Testing at the Border, was recently published in the American Journal of Law & Medicine, the country’s leading health law journal, and featured in HealthLawProf Blog. NEW EDITION AND MATERIALS FOR PROFESSOR TERRY’S PROREP CASEBOOK PUBLISHED August 2020 — West Academic published teaching materials that Professor Laurel S. Terry and her co-authors prepared to support the Spring 2020 publication of the 4th edition of their Professional Responsibility casebook. The supplemental materials included a lengthy teacher’s manual, teaching slides, and Professor Responsibility questions for West’s Casebook Plus bank of questions. Full story |

COMMENTS BY PROFESSOR PRINCE AND THREE OTHERS ADOPTED RE MODEL WHISTLEBLOWER AWARD AND PROTECTION ACT August 2020 — In June 2020, Professor Samantha Prince, Professor Andrew Jennings (Stanford), Professor Ben Edwards (UNLV) and Professor Andrew Baker (Stanford) submitted comments to the North American Securities Administrators Association (NASAA) regarding its proposed Model Whistleblower Award and Protection Act. In late August 2020, NASAA released the final version of the act; showed that NASAA had revised its Model law in order to respond to the problem Professor Prince and others had identified.
