August 22, 2022 — Brandon J. Biegenzahn (class of 2004) learned a lot about himself during his years at Penn State Dickinson Law. His education came both inside and outside the classroom. June 17, 2022 — Penn State Dickinson Law became a family affair for Barry J. Nace (class of 1969) and his youngest son, Matthew A. Nace (class of 2008). Both attended the Law School after graduating from Dickinson College as undergraduates. They shared a fondness for Carlisle and a passion for the law sparked by their professors and classmates. May 23, 2022 — Upon their graduation from Penn State Dickinson Law, Annie (class of 2005) and Andrew (class of 2004) Cordo immediately began giving back to the school. It was a conscious decision, one they made together and a tradition they have continued more than 15 years after leaving Carlisle. Full story

April 26, 2022 — After graduating from Penn State Dickinson Law, Denise Foster Cronin (class of 1997) worked for a state agency. Her modest salary left little room in her budget for a professional wardrobe. “I had limited professional attire. In building out my early professional wardrobe, a good price usually prevailed over whether the clothes were the best-tailored fit or latest style trend,” said Cronin. Full story

March 16, 2022 — Bryan Skarlatos (class of 1985) knows what a difference generosity can make in someone’s life. A generous act allowed his father, Angelo Skarlatos, to attend college. Full story

February 22, 2022 — It has been more than four decades since James J. Gillotti graduated from Dickinson Law in 1979, and he continues to consider his classmates among his closest friends. They formed strong bonds during their time in Carlisle, from study sessions running late into the night to unwinding with “Kegs in the Curtilage” each Friday. Today, the Class of 1979 maintains an active group email chain, held Zoom sessions to stay in touch at the height of the pandemic, and gathers frequently outside of the regular five-year class reunions. December 15, 2021 — Steven M. Coren, a 1980 graduate of Penn State Dickinson Law, had not visited campus in more than three decades when he attended a 2016 Dickinson Law alumni event in Philadelphia where then-Dean Gary Gildin spoke. “Dean Gildin mesmerized attendees with Dickinson Law’s accomplishments and plans,” said Coren. August 30, 2021 — In 1844, Macon Bolling Allen became the first African American person licensed to practice law in the U.S. After passing the bar in Maine, Allen struggled to find clients in the predominantly white state. He later moved to Boston and became the nation’s first Black judicial office holder. Full story
