March 2022 — Professor Medha D. Makhlouf was selected to join the Atlantic Fellows for Health Equity (AFHE) Senior Fellows Advisory Board. The Board plays an important role in developing and informing AFHE program initiatives and building a vibrant community of Senior Fellows, all of whom have completed the fellowship program. February 22, 2022 — It has been more than four decades since James J. Gillotti graduated from Dickinson Law in 1979, and he continues to consider his classmates among his closest friends. They formed strong bonds during their time in Carlisle, from study sessions running late into the night to unwinding with “Kegs in the Curtilage” each Friday. Today, the Class of 1979 maintains an active group email chain, held Zoom sessions to stay in touch at the height of the pandemic, and gathers frequently outside of the regular five-year class reunions. February 2022 — Danielle M. Conway, Dean and Donald J. Farage Professor of Law at Penn State Dickinson Law, will participate in a panel discussion on “Transforming Conflict: Rethinking War, Peace, and Justice” as part of the J. Sherwood McGinnis Jr. War, Peace and Justice Symposium. The program will be held on Tuesday, March 1, 2022 at 7 p.m. in the Anita Tuvin Schlechter Auditorium, Dickinson College, Carlisle and is free and open to the public. This discussion is part of the Clarke Forum for Contemporary Issues, an ongoing panel discussion series hosted by Dickinson College. Read more

Farage Professor of Law at Penn State Dickinson Law, talks about her love for collecting artwork and the opportunity that art offers to reflect on other people’s experiences and identities. February 15, 2022 — Penn State Dickinson Law is pleased to welcome Mae C. Quinn to its resident faculty beginning July 1, 2022. Quinn will join Dickinson Law as Professor of Law and Associate Dean of Experiential Learning. Read more

February 3, 2022 — Penn State Dickinson Law is pleased to welcome Daryl Lim to its resident faculty beginning July 1, 2022. Lim will join Dickinson Law as the H. Laddie Montague Jr. Chair Professor in Law, teaching courses on intellectual property law, civil procedure, and antitrust law. Lim will also serve as Associate Dean for Research and Faculty Development, and Director of IP Law and Innovation Initiative. Read more

Running from February 23 through April 11, this series will include both virtual and in-person events, and cover topics ranging from “Professional Responsibility as a Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Responsibility” to “Building Gender Coalitions Across Racial Lines.” Read more

January 26, 2022 — The Dickinson Law Review will present “Qualifying Qualified Immunity: Yesterday, Today, and Tomorrow,” beginning at 8:30 a.m. on Friday, March 25 in the Apfelbaum Family Courtroom and Auditorium, Lewis Katz Hall, Dickinson Law. Members of academia, the bar, and the judiciary will offer unique perspectives on qualified immunity and its current impact on the field of constitutional rights litigation. Read more

January 25, 2022 — Eight Penn State Dickinson Law scholars have received an invitation to participate in a White House and Department of Justice virtual meeting to be held on January 28, 2022. This offer was made on behalf of the White House and the Department of Justice in order to recognize and discuss Dickinson Law’s efforts to secure access to justice and housing stability in the months ahead. Attorney General of the United States Merrick Garland, Second Gentleman Douglas Emhoff, Deputy Secretary of the U.S. Treasury Adewale Adeyemo, and other top Administration officials will be in attendance during this significant event.
