PROFESSOR DONELSON ADDRESSED NATURAL PUNISHMENT AT THE ACS CONSTITUTIONAL LAW SCHOLARS FORUM March 2021 — Professor Raff Donelson recently spoke at the annual American Constitution Society Constitutional Law Scholars Forum at Barry Law School. PROFESSOR DONELSON SCHEDULED TO SPEAK ON OVERCRIMINALIZATION AT THE INSTITUTE FOR HUMANE STUDIES March 2021 — Professor Raff Donelson has been invited to serve as a panelist at a July 2021 academic research seminar presented by the Institute for Humane Studies at George Mason University. The seminar is entitled Unnecessary Evils: Laws, Judging, and Policing in an Overcriminalized World. Donelson will present on policing incentives which affect the number of criminal laws and the judicial incentives created by the mass of criminal laws. Full story |

PROFESSOR DONELSON TO SPEAK ON FREEDOM OF SPEECH IN A LIBERAL DEMOCRACY March 2021 — Professor Raff Donelson has agreed to present a paper at the Southeast Association of Law Schools Annual Conference, which will be held in July 2021. At this year’s conference, Donelson will present his paper as part of a panel entitled, “Philosophical Perspectives on Freedom of Speech in a Liberal Democracy.” Donelson’s presentation will be “Pragmatism, Truth, and Lies.” Full story |

PROFESSOR DONELSON RECENTLY PRESENTED ON REPARATIONS FOR THE IOWA LEGAL THEORY READING GROUP February 2021 — Professor Raff Donelson was invited to participate in Iowa Law’s Legal Theory Reading Group’s February Meeting. At this meeting, the group focused on reparations for historical injustices, including American slavery. The group first read Professor Donelson’s article entitled “Reparations, Responsibility, and Formalism – A Reply to Carnes.” Full story |

PROFESSOR DONELSON RECENTLY LECTURED ON BLACKS, COPS & THE STATE OF NATURE AT PRINCETON UNIVERSITY January 2021 — Professor Raff Donelson was recently a guest lecturer at Princeton University.
