Gary S. Gildin GILDIN PUBLISHES ON-LINE OPEN-SOURCE CIVIL LIBERTIES LITIGATION TEXTBOOK

September 2021 — Professor Gary S. Gildin has published Civil Liberties Litigation: Cases and Materials as an on-line, open-source textbook. The book addresses the layers of procedural and substantive doctrines that are triggered when a citizen files a civil action seeking to recover damages or equitable relief for deprivation of a right secured by the United States Constitution. July 2021 — Professor Gary S. Gildin recently spoke at the Training Conference on Rhetoric, Persuasion, and Implicit Bias hosted by Temple University’s Beasley School of Law. Professor Gildin addressed the imperative of teaching law students a model of persuasion that incorporates recent developments in neuroscience and cognitive psychology. Full story

June 2020 — The American populace now finds itself under siege by two contagions—a global virus and an epidemic of killings of black citizens at the hands of police. For the former, herd immunity is an indispensable element of the cure. Tragically, for the latter, immunity is a nefarious spreader of the disease. Full story
