PROFESSOR STAN BRAND APPEARS ON FORBES NEWSROOM TO DISCUSS 14TH AMENDMENT 

Stan BrandDecember 2023 — Penn State Dickinson Law Distinguished Fellow in Law and Government Stanley M. Brand joined Brittany Lewis on “Forbes Newsroom” to discuss the Colorado Supreme Court ruling that former President Donald Trump should be kicked off the state’s ballot under the 14th Amendment Disqualification Clause. The ruling focuses on a brewing legal debate among judges and legal experts over whether Trump should be disqualified for being an “insurrectionist,” as the issue likely heads to the U.S. Supreme Court.

On the podcast episode of “Bush v Gore Was Nursery School Compared to Trump v Colorado,” Brand discussed the 14th Amendment Disqualification Clause, current litigation interpreting its provisions and the likely Supreme Court role in settling its application.
