Sarah Williams PROFESSOR WILLIAMS INVITES SHELL OIL SECURITIES COUNSEL JOSEPH BABITS FOR A VIRTUAL VISIT TO DICKINSON LAW

October 2021 — Prof. Sarah Williams recently invited U.S. Securities Counsel for Royal Dutch Shell, plc as a guest lecturer in Dickinson Law’s Federal Securities Regulation class. Mr. Babits discussed his journey from the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission to one of the largest gas companies in the world. He shared his experiences defending Shell in U.S. government investigations, and the company’s efforts to address climate change. Full story
Class PROFESSOR SARAH WILLIAMS WELCOMED KRISTIN WELLS ’11 AS A GUEST LECTURER

August 2021 — Professor Sarah Williams recently welcomed Kristin A. Wells ’11 as a Guest Lecturer in Professional Responsibility. Wells serves as Counsel in the Office of Disciplinary Counsel of the Disciplinary Board of the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania, and is also a proud graduate of Dickinson Law. Wells lectured on the disciplinary process in the Commonwealth, presented case studies, and described recent challenges to the professional responsibilities of Pennsylvania lawyers. Full story

April 2021 — Professor Sarah Williams has accepted an offer from Lewis & Clark Law Review to publish her recent article, entitled “The Alchemy of Effective Auditor Regulation.” The article is currently scheduled to be published in February 2022. Full story

October 2020 — Professor Sarah Williams recently brought nationally recognized securities lawyer, Fiona Philip, to virtually visit Dickinson Law. Philip discussed the practice of federal securities law with students and other members of the Dickinson Law community. Full story
Mohamed R. Badissy and Sarah J. Williams DICKINSON LAW WELCOMES NEW PROFESSORS TO ITS COMMUNITY

July 2019 — Mohamed Rali Badissy and Sarah J. Williams have joined the full-time faculty at Penn State Dickinson Law as assistant professors of law. Badissy will teach Contracts, Corporate Finance, Energy Law and Policy, and International Law. Williams will teach Federal Securities Regulation, Financial Statement Fundamentals, Professional Responsibility, and Property.
