DEAN DANIELLE M. CONWAY TO BE RECOGNIZED BY LEADERSHIP CUMBERLAND

Danielle M. ConwayJanuary 2024 — Danielle M. Conway, Dean and Donald J. Farage Professor of Law, will be honored by Leadership Cumberland at the upcoming Leaders at Lunch program on January 30.

Leaders at Lunch is a semi-annual luncheon series which recognizes local leaders in the Cumberland County community. The event provides the leaders with the opportunity to present their perspective on leadership and the current issues facing their industries and organizations. In order to be recognized by Leadership Cumberland, honorees should personify leadership, exemplify the goals of Leadership Cumberland, be recognized for their accomplishments, overcome obstacles in order to achieve their goals, show courage, and be noted for their innovation.

Dean Conway will be honored for her work in creating Dickinson Law’s Antiracist Development Institute (ADI). The ADI was created to facilitate the dismantling of structures that scaffold systemic racial inequality by implementing antiracist practices, processes, and policies throughout organizations. In addition to creating the ADI, Dean Conway was instrumental in guiding Dickinson Law’s development of a civil rights, equal protection, and social justice certificate program; developing the required first-year course titled “Race and the Equal Protection of the Laws”; and establishing the Law Deans Antiracist Clearinghouse Project.
