Danielle M. ConwayAugust 2022 — Dean and Donald J. Farage Professor of Law Danielle M. Conway will be honored this year as a 2022 National HBCU Pre-Law Hall of Fame Inductee. Dean Conway will be recognized at The National HBCU Pre-Law Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony and Aspiring Lawyers Pinning Ceremony on Saturday, September 17, 2022 at Georgetown University Law Center in Washington, D.C. The National HBCU Pre-Law Summit is the nation’s only major national pre-law event created especially for historically Black college and university (HBCU) students and alumni interested in law school and becoming lawyers.

Evangeline M. Mitchell, Esq., Ed.M. founded the National HBCU Pre-Law Summit & Law Expo in 2014 after having graduated from the summit and finding that the National Black Pre-Law Conference and Law Fair, which she created in 2005, was not attracting enough students from historically Black colleges and universities and more time was needed to address their unique issues and concerns. Mitchell decided to create a special event specifically targeting HBCU students and graduates interested in going to law school and becoming lawyers. The inaugural event was launched at North Carolina Central University School of Law in Durham, North Carolina on September 19, 2014.

The Ninth Annual National HBCU Pre-Law Summit & Law Expo 2022 will be sponsored by Law School Admission Council (LSAC) on Friday, September 16, 2022 and Saturday, September 17, 2022 at the University of the District of Columbia David A. Clark School of Law and Howard University School of Law in Washington, D.C.
