PROFESSOR SABRINA SONDHI ELECTED TO A POSITION WITH THE SOCIETY OF ACADEMIC LAW LIBRARY DIRECTORS
October 2024 — Professor Sabrina Sondhi was elected by her academic law library director peers to the Executive Committee of the Society of Academic Law Library Directors (SALLD). Her position as a Member at Large will last for the next three years.
SALLD’s mission is to promote academic law librarianship and to represent the interests of academic law libraries in the United States. SALLD provides academic law libraries with an independent forum to speak on issues in legal education, to collect statistics and information valuable to the profession, and to cooperate on legal research initiatives. From time to time, SALLD also takes official positions on proposed changes to the ABA standards.
Professor Sondhi has served on other executive boards during her career as a law librarian. Most recently, she was Chair of the Academic Law Libraries special interest section in 2020-21 for the American Association of Law Libraries.
Sabrina Sondhi is the Director of the H. Laddie Montague, Jr. Law Library at Penn State Dickinson Law in Carlisle. In addition to her library administrator responsibilities, she teaches valuable skills to first-year students as a Professor of Legal Research. Her research interests include antiracism, law library management, information preservation, and legal research pedagogy.
