PROFESSOR RONNIE R. GIPSON JR. ACCEPTS OFFER FROM BUFFALO HUMAN RIGHTS LAW REVIEW TO PUBLISH ARTICLE
March 2025 — Professor Ronnie R. Gipson Jr. has accepted an offer from Buffalo Human Rights Law Review to publish his recent article, “Crafting an Exception to the Principle of Non-Intervention to End Military Coups.”
Professor Gipson’s article argues for an exception to be recognized in the application of the principle of non-intervention in order to protect and preserve human rights when a military junta engages in a coup to seize governmental power against the expressed will of the people.
Ronnie R. Gipson Jr. is a Visiting Associate Professor of Law at Penn State Dickinson Law. He earned his J.D. from the University of San Francisco School of Law, and he holds a B.A. from Texas A & M University in Modern Languages (French). Professor Gipson’s scholarship sits at the intersection of aviation law and international economic policy and trade law. Professor Gipson’s current projects explore topical issues making headline news globally.
