PROFESSOR MICHAEL FOREMAN DISCUSSES WHY RECENT ATTACKS ON DEI ARE HARD TO PROVE

Michael ForemanApril 2025 — Penn State Dickinson Law Professor Michael Foreman was recently quoted in a Bloomberg article titled, “DEI Bias is Tough to Prove Despite Evolving Legal Landscape.” Foreman noted that regarding the recent attacks on DEI, “plaintiffs tend to downplay the level of evidence you need to show that a mandatory DEI training would create a severe or pervasive racially hostile environment.”


Professor Michael Foreman focuses on appellate representation in civil rights issues and employment discrimination cases and directs Penn State Dickinson Law’s Civil Rights Appellate Clinic, which has served as counsel of record on numerous cases in United States Supreme Court and the federal appellate courts.
