PROFESSOR MARTIN SKLADANY PROPOSES A NEW FORM OF PROTEST

Martin SkladanyJuly 2025—Martin Skladany, Samuel Weiss Faculty Scholar and professor of law, recently published an article in Salon proposing a new form of protest. “Instead of disruption, let's organize helpful protests” explores how activists can do good while protesting.

For example, activists "could clear trails and collect trash to protest cuts to the National Park Services." He suggests that such protests "can bond a nation rather than break it even further."
