PENN STATE DICKINSON LAW HOSTS PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT CONFERENCE AND ALUMNI WEEKEND EVENTS September 2024 — Andre George ’25 was unable to attend the Professional Development Conference (PDC) during his first year at Penn State Dickinson Law, and he regretted that. “Afterward, my friends told me it was amazing, and they got to talk to this alumnus and that alumna,” said George. “The next two years, I made it a point to go.” Full story |

PHILLIP M. SCOTT TEACHING, LEADERSHIP, AND STAFF EXCELLENCE AWARDS HONOR THREE FACULTY AND STAFF MEMBERS AT DONOR DINNER September 2024 — Phillip M. Scott ’22 wanted to pay tribute to the small kindnesses and acts of support by Penn State Dickinson Law faculty and staff members that he noticed during the year he spent in the LL.M. program. Upon his graduation, he established a non-endowed fund to create the Phillip M. PENN STATE DICKINSON LAW WELCOMES DIVERSE AND ACCOMPLISHED CLASS OF 2027 TO CARLISLE September 2024 — Encouraging students to “contest, challenge, and investigate” while avoiding becoming “parrots of poured knowledge,” Dean and Donald J. Farage Professor of Law Danielle M. Conway formally welcomed the Penn State Dickinson Law Class of 2027 and incoming LL.M., S.J.D., and exchange students to Carlisle during a convocation held August 22 at the Apfelbaum Family Courtroom and Auditorium. DICKINSON LAW HOLDING CONSTITUTION DAY EVENT WITH GUEST SPEAKER DEREK BLACK ON SEPTEMBER 17 August 2024 — Constitution Day is held annually on September 17 to commemorate the day in 1787 when Constitutional Convention delegates signed our nation’s governing document. Congress created the official remembrance in 2004. On that day each year, every educational institution receiving Title IV funds must put on an educational program related to the Constitution. PENN STATE DICKINSON LAW BEGINS ANTIRACIST DEVELOPMENT INSTITUTE SCALE-UP July 2024 — On June 17, nearly five dozen members of the Penn State community gathered at the University Park campus to launch the Penn State Dickinson Law Antiracist Development Institute (ADI) scale-up. The “POD” launch event provided participants with information about how they will be divided into focus groups (aka PODs) to develop projects that disrupt systemic racial inequality and intersectional injustice across the Penn State University ecosystem.
