CONSTITUTION DAY: REPRODUCTIVE JUSTICE IN THE WAKE OF THE SUPREME COURT’S DECISION TO OVERTURN ROE V. WADE

August 2022 — Penn State Dickinson Law, Dickinson College and the Department of Women’s, Gender & Sexuality Studies (WGSS), the AAUW-Carlisle (PA) Branch, and the YWCA Carlisle & Cumberland County invite you to join us on Monday, September 12 for a series of reproductive justice events as we champion reproductive rights in the wake the fateful decision by the Supreme Court of the United States in Dobbs v Jackson Women’s Health Organization, which overturned Roe v. Wade.

Kimberly MutchersonKimberly Mutcherson
Co-Dean and Professor of Law, Rutgers Law School

Kimberly Mutcherson is an award-winning professor whose scholarship focuses on reproductive justice, bioethics, and family and health law. She has presented her scholarship nationally and internationally and publishes extensively on assisted reproduction, families, and the law. She was a visiting scholar at the University of Pennsylvania Center for Bioethics and the Columbia Law School Center for Gender and Sexuality Law.
 

Melissa MurrayMelissa Murray
Frederick I. and Grace Stokes Professor of Law, NYU Law

Melissa Murray teaches constitutional law, family law, criminal law, and reproductive rights and justice at NYU Law. Her research focuses on the legal regulation of sex and sexuality and encompasses such topics as marriage and its alternatives, the marriage equality debate, the legal recognition of caregiving, and reproductive rights and justice.
 

Mireille RebeizMireille Rebeiz
Associate Professor of Women's, Gender & Sexuality Studies & Francophone Studies at Dickinson College

Dr. Mireille Rebeiz (She/Her) teaches gender identity and international human rights laws at Dickinson College. Her teaching and research focus on women’s, gender, and sexuality issues in armed conflicts in the Middle East and North Africa.
