ATTORNEY GENERAL MICHELLE HENRY TO DELIVER COMMENCEMENT ADDRESS TO PENN STATE DICKINSON LAW CLASS OF 2024

Pennsylvania Attorney General Michelle HenryMichelle Henry is a life-long public servant, 26-year veteran prosecutor, and Pennsylvania’s Attorney General.

Raised in Westmoreland County, Michelle is a graduate of Greensburg-Salem public schools, Allegheny College, and the Widener University School of Law. Michelle dedicated over 20 years of her career to the Bucks County District Attorney’s Office — taking on critical jobs including Chief of Major Crimes, Chief of Child Abuse, and First Assistant. She was appointed Bucks County District Attorney in 2008. In 2017, Michelle became First Deputy Attorney General, overseeing all of the Office’s legal matters, including criminal cases, civil suits, and public protection cases.

Since becoming Attorney General, Michelle continues to pursue critical efforts to protect Pennsylvanians. She recently announced the 28th county in Pennsylvania to join the Law Enforcement Treatment Initiative which allows those suffering from opioid substance abuse disorder to access treatment without fear of arrest. In the past year, she also announced the arrests of more than 14 members of Jehovah’s Witness congregations across the Commonwealth who are accused of crimes related to sexual assault and the exploitation of children. Also in 2023, the Office’s Bureau of Consumer Protection saved consumers over 24.5 million dollars in mediation and legal efforts at the direction of Attorney General Henry.
