Biography

Professor Braxton is the Director of the Center for Social Change and Belonging at Penn State University. He also holds an affiliate academic appointment as an Associate Teaching Professor of African Studies and Philosophy at Penn State. He has over 15 years of experience working as an educator, advocate, student affairs practitioner, and consultant.

Professor Braxton is a first-generation college graduate with a B.S. in Political Science, Philosophy, and Economics with an African Studies Certificate from the University of Pittsburgh, an M.A. in Philosophy from the University of Missouri, and a J.D. (Juris Doctor) from the University of North Carolina School of Law. He is currently a Doctoral Candidate (Doctor of Education) at Penn State University.

In addition to teaching at the law school, Professor Braxton has experience teaching courses in Philosophy, Political Science, African Studies, African American Studies, Leadership and Organizational Administration, Diversity Equity, and Inclusion (DEI), and the First Year Experience.
