M.L.S. Curriculum
Penn State Dickinson Law offers a flexible and rigorous M.L.S. degree program designed to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of the U.S. legal system and public policy.
To earn the M.L.S. degree, students must complete a minimum of 30 credits. Students may enroll in up to a maximum of 6 credits per semester, which is usually the equivalent of 2 courses.
All M.L.S. students must complete the following core courses:
- Introduction to U.S. Legal Systems (3 credits)
- Introduction to Legal Research and Writing (3 credits)
- Administrative Law and Regulation (3 credits)
- Legal Ethics and Professionalism (3 credits)
- Negotiation and Conflict/Dispute Resolution (3 credits)
To complete the M.L.S. degree, students will take at least 12 credits of electives and a final Capstone Simulation course for 3 credits.
