About Miller

A lifelong conservationist, Torin has worked exclusively in the conservation community since graduating from law school. Currently, Torin is associate litigation counsel at the Sportsmen’s Alliance Foundation (SAF). His current role is a distinct mix of litigation and policy, providing unique perspectives on the interaction between the two and how the conservation community can best position itself to promote and defend science-based wildlife management, access to public lands, and hunting, fishing, and a multitude of other outdoor pursuits. Prior to litigating with SAF, Torin worked as the Senior Director of Policy at the National Deer Association. In that position, Torin played a critical role in pushing the Chronic Wasting Disease (CWD) Research and Management Act through Congress. He has worked closely with local, state, and federal agencies on hundreds of administrative and regulatory issues with respect to wildlife conservation, and he also advocated for and advanced these same issues in state legislatures and Congress.

Torin earned his undergraduate and graduate degrees in Wildlife and Fisheries Science from Penn State University before specializing in natural resources, environmental, and energy law while earning his Juris Doctorate, also at Penn State.

When he’s not in the office, Torin is a husband to Kacie and a father to two young kiddos, Theodore and Wren. He spends as much time as possible travelling, camping, fishing, hiking and exploring the outdoors with his family.
