About Rigler
Professor Jane Rigler retired from the Law School faculty at the end of the 2004-2005 academic year, after having joined the faculty in August of 1978. Over the course of her twenty-seven year Dickinson Law career, she taught Trial Advocacy, Arbitration, Civil Procedure, UCC courses (sales, negotiable instruments, bank deposits and collections), Criminal Law, Labor Law, Labor Relations in the Public Sector, Employment Legislation and Fair Employment. She also served as faculty advisor to the Robert Wagner Labor and Employment Law Moot Court Team. Professor Rigler continues to reside in Carlisle and maintains an office at the law school. Much of her time is spent serving as an arbitrator and mediator in a variety of disputes.
Penn State Dickinson Law and Penn State Law are reunifying to operate as Penn State University’s single law school, which will be known as Penn State Dickinson Law. While ABA approval for the reunification is pending, both schools are currently fully accredited. We submitted an application for acquiescence to operate as a single law school in July 2024 and plan to enroll a unified class in Fall 2025. Once reunification is complete, the separate faculties of each school will be members of the reunified Penn State Dickinson Law faculty.
