Trezlen D. Drake

In addition to teaching Legal Research II, Trezlen D. Drake engages with the Dickinson Law community to find ways the Law Library can support both instruction and scholarly needs.

After completing her master’s in library and information science with a special certificate in law librarianship at the University of Washington iSchool, Professor Drake spent seven years working as a foreign, comparative, and international law librarian in academic settings. She has taught first-year, upper-level, and master of laws students, served as a guest lecturer, provided reference and research support, created research guides, and worked with library colleagues and committees to expand the libraries’ collections. Professor Drake was also active in the American Association of Law Libraries and helped to create a Special Interest Section for professionals entering the field of law librarianship.

Professor Drake completed a master of fine arts (MFA) in creative writing with a graduate certificate in Women’s and Gender Studies at the University of South Carolina.

Professor Drake is admitted to the State Bar of Georgia. She has practiced in the areas of immigration, criminal defense, and real estate.
