About Professor Updike
Tracy L. Updike focuses her practice in the field of consumer and commercial bankruptcy and creditors’ rights, including foreclosure and commercial loan workouts. She represents both debtors and creditors, which she believes gives her pronounced insight when advocating for her clients. She is a frequent lecturer on bankruptcy topics for the Middle District Bankruptcy Bar Association and the Dauphin County Bar Association.
Prior to joining Mette, Evans & Woodside, Tracy practiced bankruptcy law at two smaller firms in the central Pennsylvania area. Tracy started her career working in the entertainment industry in Los Angeles, CA where she attended law school, but her family and an appreciation for the four seasons brought her back to the area.
Tracy earned her J.D. from Southwestern University School of Law in Los Angeles, CA. She graduated with high honors from the Pennsylvania State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. Tracy is licensed to practice law in Pennsylvania and admitted to practice in the United States District Court for the Middle, Eastern and Western Districts of Pennsylvania.
Away from work, she is an active member of the Board of the Middle District Bankruptcy Bar Association and she is also on the Board of Directors for the Dauphin County Bar Association and chairs their Bankruptcy Section.
For fun, Tracy enjoys traveling the world and learning about other cultures, as well as reading and spending time with her favorite little ones — her niece, nephew, and canine baby, Coco.
