CARLISLE, PA—Professor Titichia Mitchell Jackson will present at the American Association of Academic Support Educators conference, to be held May 19–21, 2026, in Las Vegas, Nevada, where she will discuss her recent article, “Reimagining Legal Education: Aligning Curriculum and Pedagogy with the NextGen Bar Exam.”

Her presentation will critically examine the role of curriculum mapping as a framework for advancing formative assessment, skills integration, and competency-based instruction within contemporary legal education. In particular, the presentation will explore how curriculum design intersects with pedagogical practices that support the development of competencies essential for bar examination performance and professional readiness in legal practice.

Her scholarship contributes to the evolving national discourse concerning innovation, assessment, and student success in legal education under the NextGen Bar Exam framework.

Professor Titichia Mitchell Jackson brings both legal practice experience and the practice of applying cognitive psychology in the classroom to her teaching. She collaborates with faculty to incorporate the learning concept of spaced repetition throughout Penn State Dickinson Law’s curriculum while training law students for the rigors of law school, the bar exam, and the practice of law. Professor Jackson teaches the Fundamental Skills for the Bar Exam course and Penn State Dickinson Law’s summer supplemental bar preparation program. Professor Jackson provides individual academic success counseling to students. Prior to joining Penn State Dickinson Law, Professor Jackson taught courses and served as the director of bar preparation and support for North Carolina Central University School of Law and served as director of legal education for BARBRI, Inc.
