Professor Ronnie R. Gipson Jr. presents at Law and Development Conference in Hawaii.
CARLISLE, Pa.—The Law and Development Institute held its biennial Law and Development Conference at the William S. Richardson School of Law at the University of Hawaii. Professor Ronnie R. Gipson Jr. accepted an invitation from the Law and Development Institute to present his work titled “Opportunity Lost” to the economic development trade law scholars assembled.
The Law and Development Institute promotes world-class research in law and development studies. Scholars from Australia, New Zealand, and countries in Africa, Asia, Europe, Oceania, and South America were well represented among the conference attendees.
“Opportunity Lost” represents a significant contribution to the dynamic policy discussions involved with global trade law policy; the work will be published in the 2026 volume of the Law and Development Review.
Ronnie R. Gipson Jr. is a Visiting Associate Professor of Law at Penn State Dickinson Law. He earned his J.D. from the University of San Francisco School of Law, and he holds a B.A. from Texas A & M University in Modern Languages (French). Professor Gipson’s scholarship sits at the intersection of aviation law and international economic policy and trade law. Professor Gipson’s current projects explore topical issues making headline news globally.
