CARLISLE, PA— Professor Katherine C. Pearson recently presented at the FORCAST Users Group Conference hosted by AV Powell & Associates, a firm in Atlanta, Georgia, providing actuarial, financial, and planning services to managers of the continuum of care for senior populations.
Pearson appeared with actuary AV Powell, who founded the firm, and attorney Scott Townsley as a panelist in a session titled “Deep Dive into Predicting and Preventing Financial Distress.” She also participated in other programming throughout the first day of the event.
Pearson shared her reflections about the program in a recent entry on Elder Law Prof Blog, titled “Summer Time Programming: Diving Deep Into Finance and Regulation of CCRCs and Life Plan Communities.”
Professor Katherine C. Pearson teaches courses on contract law and elder law and is also the Arhtur L. and Sandra S. Piccone Faculty Scholar for Penn State Dickinson Law. She recently completed a Fulbright Fellowship at University of Ottawa in Canada researching comparative approaches to access to justice.
