UNIVERSITY PARK, PA—Bloomberg Law quoted Hannah Wiseman in an article about the D.C. Circuit's invalidation of a U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) emergency order to keep open a coal-fired power plant that was scheduled to retire in Michigan. You can read the article by clicking here.

“If the state, as Michigan had done here, has used its statutory authority under the Federal Power Act to plan for the circumstances that the DOE is concerned about, then typically there will not be a role for the DOE to step in,” Wiseman is quoted as saying.

Wiseman teaches and researches about the impacts of energy policy on communities and ratepayers.
