In joining fellow leaders and student representatives from Black and Jewish communities, Martin facilitated critical discussions on fostering unity, strengthening relationships, and collaborating to combat racism and antisemitism—an effort that reflects and informs her broader research agenda on protecting civil rights and advancing legal approaches to promote equity across diverse communities.
The Blue Square Alliance Against Hate—formerly known as the Foundation to Combat Antisemitism—was founded by Robert Kraft in 2019 to confront antisemitism and all forms of hate by inspiring Americans to become active allies against bigotry.
Professor Andrea J. Martin’s research focuses on constitutional law, anti-discrimination law, and both historical and current antisemitism. Through her work in the developing field of Jewish Legal Studies, she creates legal frameworks and promotes strategies to influence policies aimed at combating antizionism and other modern forms of Jew-hatred and protecting civil rights.
