Professor Andrea J. Martin named Fellow of the London Centre for the Study of Contemporary Antisemitism

CARLISLE, Pa.—Professor Andrea J. Martin has been named a Fellow of the Centre for the Study of Contemporary Antisemitism (LCSCA)—a prestigious honor recognizing scholars who demonstrate exceptional leadership and commitment to challenging the roots of antisemitism in public life and academia through research. By joining the LCSCA’s community of Fellows, she will have unique opportunities for interdisciplinary collaboration.
Martin studied antisemitism and Holocaust studies at the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum, serves on the Holocaust Claims Conference Faculty Working Group, and is also a member of the Steering Committee for the Law and Antisemitism Conference. She is currently developing a Holocaust Studies curriculum for higher education and collaborating with fellow legal scholars to create a new law school course, Antisemitism and the Law.
Through her scholarship in the emerging field of Jewish Legal Studies, Martin promotes innovative legal frameworks to inform public policy, enhance civil rights protections, support civil litigators, and help combat antisemitism in academic and other institutional settings.
The LCSCA is committed to advancing rigorous research on antisemitism and fostering informed public and academic discussions to identify and challenge its modern forms.
Professor Andrea J. Martin‘s research encompasses constitutional law, anti-discrimination law, and the study of historical and contemporary antisemitism. Through her scholarship in the emerging field of Jewish Law and Policy, she develops legal frameworks and advances strategies to influence legal, governmental, and institutional policies to combat antizionism and other contemporary forms of Jew-hatred and protect civil rights.
