CARLISLE, PA—Professor Daryl Lim, associate dean for research and strategic partnerships and H. Laddie Montague Jr. Chair in Law at Penn State Dickinson Law, co-organized the 33rd Annual Intellectual Property Law & Policy Conference at Fordham Law School. The conference brought together more than 500 judges, scholars, practitioners, policymakers, and industry leaders from around the world for one of the leading global forums in intellectual property (IP) law and technology policy.

Co-organized in partnership with the Emily C. & John E. Hansen IP Institute at Fordham Law School, this year’s conference featured 31 panels and 40 sponsors and institutional partners over two and a half days, making it the largest in the event’s history. The program convened leading voices across patents, copyright, trademarks, trade secrets, antitrust, artificial intelligence (AI) governance, data policy, dispute resolution, and international regulatory developments.

Lim’s leadership in designing and moderating the conference reflects Penn State Dickinson Law’s growing prominence in intellectual property, innovation, and emerging technology law while reinforcing the law school’s commitment to global engagement, interdisciplinary scholarship, and professional community-building.

Often described as the “Davos of the IP world,” the Fordham Intellectual Property Law & Policy Conference is widely regarded as one of the most prestigious annual gatherings in the field. This year’s conference included participants from the United States, Europe, Asia, Africa, and Australia, with dedicated country and regional showcase sessions highlighting comparative legal developments across jurisdictions. The conference’s central ethos—“learn, debate, and have fun”—aligns closely with Penn State Dickinson Law’s mission of fostering intellectual leadership, public impact, and global collaboration in law and policy.
