A Dickinson Law Favorite:
I enjoy being in a friendly environment where faculty and other students are open to conversation.
Why Dickinson Law?:
I chose to attend Dickinson Law over other schools in the area due to the generous scholarship and name recognition.
I received the Rural Summer Legal Corp Fellowship through Equal Justice Works, and during my 1L summer, I interned for the education equity division of California Rural Legal Assistance. I enjoyed working on active litigation cases that took place where I grew up. I was able to network with other attorneys in the public interest/child advocacy sphere. Prior to law school, I knew I wanted to work in the child advocacy and immigration space, and this internship allowed me to work with attorneys who are able to do such multi-faceted legal work.
Constitutional Law with Dean Gaudion has been my favorite course thus far.
Advice for Prospective Law Students:
You’re doing great, and you’re almost there! The law profession needs mindful and diverse future law students like you.
Something You Love About Carlisle:
The downtown area has such amazing food and drinks! Denim Coffee and Square Bean have excellent coffee, and I live for the wagyu ravioli at The Whiskey Rebellion. Also, I love going to Castlerigg Wine Shop for a glass of wine at the end of the week.
On Choosing A Law School:
Attending a law school far from home doesn’t mean that you’re limiting your job prospects to that state. I thought it would be difficult to find internships and networking opportunities based in California if I went to school in Pennsylvania; however, that has not been the case for me.
You’d Never Guess That… :
When I taught abroad, I met voodoo goats!
