About Feldman

Professor Emeritus Harvey A. Feldman fully retired following the Spring 2014 Semester. He taught Property or property-related electives throughout his forty-four year career. He also originated and taught for several years the Law School’s Gender and the Law Seminar. For fifteen years he supervised the appellate moot court program and taught Appellate Practice, and he taught Professional Responsibility for more than a decade. As either assistant dean or associate dean for academic affairs, he also served in an administrative role for more than a quarter century; and he supervised the integration of the Law School’s academic and recordkeeping programs with the University’s during the merger and helped originate several joint degree programs with other units of the University. In 2005 he received the Distinguished Service Award from Dickinson Law’s General Alumni Association. For eight years he represented Pennsylvania on the National Conference of Commissioners on Uniform State Laws. Most important, for more than 30 years he joined his students for slow-pitch softball tournaments in Boston and Charlottesville, VA. In the spring of 2001 he and his teammates from Dickinson Law’s Classes of 2001, 2002, and 2003 won the annual University of Virginia Law School Invitational tournament.
