Become Woke Mission Movie Series: Selma

Join the Dickinson Law community on January 17, 2018 from 6 to 8 p.m. for a screening and panel discussion of the movie Selma, a 2014 American historical drama film based on the 1965 Selma to Montgomery voting rights marches led by James Bevel, Hosea Williams, Martin Luther King Jr. and John Lewis. The film stars actors David Oyelowo as King, Tom Wilkinson as President Lyndon B. Johnson, Tim Roth as George Wallace, Carmen Ejogo as Coretta Scott King, and Common as Bevel.

Dickinson Law and the Carlisle YWCA are co-sponsoring the Become Woke Mission Movie Series, which provides clarity and understanding of important social issues of the day.

The screening will take place at Dickinson Law inside the Apfelbaum Family Courtroom & Auditorium, Lewis Katz Hall, Carlisle. The panel discussion will follow in Room 112.

The event is open to the public and free to attend. Light refreshments will be provided during the panel discussion. Click here to register.
