Become Woke Mission Movie Series: Loving
Join the Dickinson Law community on February 13, 2018 from 6:00 to 8:30 p.m. for a screening and panel discussion of the movie Loving, a 2016 British-American historical drama film which tells the story of Richard and Mildred Loving, the plaintiffs in the 1967 U.S. Supreme Court decision Loving v. Virginia, which invalidated state laws prohibiting interracial marriage. The film takes inspiration from The Loving Story (2011) by Nancy Buirski, a documentary which follows the Lovings and their landmark case.
Dickinson Law and the YWCA Carlisle are co-sponsoring the Become Woke Mission Movie Series, which provides clarity and understanding of important social issues of the day.
The screening will take place at Dickinson Law in Room 112, Lewis Katz Hall, Carlisle. The panel discussion will follow.
The event is open to the public and free to attend. Light refreshments will be provided during the panel discussion. Click here to register.
