Biography

Lyubomir Avdzhiyski is a New York–licensed attorney and Adjunct Professor of Law at Penn State Dickinson Law. He holds a J.D. from the University of National and World Economy (Bulgaria) and an LL.M. from Penn State Dickinson Law, where he is currently working on his SJD dissertation on "The First Amendment and AI-generated content". He was selected as a Fulbright Scholar in 2021. His doctoral research examines the intersection of artificial intelligence and the First Amendment, with particular attention to constitutional limits on government regulation of AI-mediated speech. His broader interests include AI governance, Section 230, the EU Digital Services Act, the EU AI Act, judicial reform, and constitutional constraints on government actors. He teaches the course: "Introduction to U.S. Legal System" and remains actively engaged in scholarship at the intersection of emerging technology and constitutional law.
