This workshop will provide tips for managing a demanding course load and keeping up with your studies. Efective case briefing, note-taking, and getting the most out of class discussions will be emphasized.

10:45 to 11:45 a.m. Introduction to Legal Research — Auditorium
Gail Partin, Director and Law Librarian, Laura Ax-Fultz, Associate Law Librarian, and Pam Smith, Assistant Law Librarian, will introduce students to legal research skills, concepts, and procedures through a discussion of sources of law, including an overview of the U.S. legal system including the role of the judicial, legislative, and executive branches in the creation of law.

2Ls and 3Ls will give you the opportunity to ask questions about what to expect in law school in small group settings.

LCL will provide information about their peer-assistance program that is available to lawyers and law students who encounter mental health or substance abuse issues.
