Professor Shadowen, a founding partner at Hilliard & Shadowen LLC, has been representing plaintiffs in antitrust litigation for more than 20 years. Over his extensive career, he has been lead counsel in groundbreaking cases where intellectual property and antitrust law intersect, including Abbott Laboratories v. CVS Pharmacy, 290 F. 3d 854 (7th Cir. 2002) and Meijer, Inc. v. Barr Pharmaceuticals, Inc., 572 F. Supp. 2d 38 (D.D.C. Aug. 11, 2008). Professor Shadowen has been recognized as a Pennsylvania Super Lawyer every year since 2004 and was selected in 2010 and 2011 as a Best Lawyer in America in Antitrust Law and Commercial Litigation. He has been a member of the advisory board for the Institute for Consumer Antitrust Studies from 2006, and of the American Antitrust Institute from 2011.
As a law student he was the criminal procedure project editor of the Georgetown Law Journal. Upon graduation from Georgetown he served as a clerk for the Hon. Boyce F. Martin, Jr. of the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit.
