About Judge Labuskes>
Judge Labuskes was appointed by Governor Ridge to the Environmental Hearing Board in November 1996. He was reappointed by Governor Rendell in 2005 and Governor Corbett in 2011. Prior to his initial appointment, he was a partner and the chairman of the Environmental Practice Group at the Harrisburg firm of McNees, Wallace and Nurick where his practice had been devoted to environmental law since 1987. From 1985 to 1987, Judge Labuskes served as Assistant Counsel at the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Resources where he focused on litigation and enforcement matters. He was a law clerk to the Honorable Charles Clark, Chief Judge, U.S. Court of Appeals, Fifth Circuit, from 1982 to 1983. He received his B.A. from Pennsylvania State University in 1979 and his J.D. cum laude from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law in 1982 where he was senior comments editor of the University of Pittsburgh Law Review and a member of the Order of the Coif.
